Reasons I already love our Pope Francis I

Reasons I already love our Pope Francis I
He asked us to pray for him on the balcony when introduced as Pope Francis I

He kissed the sick and the babies

He prayed with Benedict side-by-side when offered a place of honor by our former Pope.

He paid for his hotel room when told that no Pope has to pay for a hotel room. He said he was an example to all and he would pay.

He washed the feet at a juvenile jail of men and women, muslim and orthodox, when all former Popes washed the feet of Priests in a church.

Before blessing a crowd with Holy Water he blessed himself.

He agrees Pope John XXIII is a saint.

His 1st encyclical is filled with wisdom.

He has called people - not a secretary calling for him - he called - to reach out and tell them during their difficult times he was praying for them and asked them to pray for him, too.

He brought HOPE and HEALING to the United States.

Little Books

In 2000, Bishop Ken Untener wrote a Little prayer book to use daily during Lent. Eventually there were Little Books for all seasons all based on the readings for that Sunday. Even today, after his death the Little Books are still used and loved. There are additional versions in Spanish and also for children. More than 3 Million have been distributed world-wide.

Click below on the green "Little Books" to go to the order page - once their you can click the "about" tab to read more about the books.
