WHAT?

Yesterday we went out for a nice ride -

The last of the fall colors.

We did NOT expect to see this!

Christmas Trees being cut, wrapped, stacked and then loaded onto flatbeds!

Not even Halloween!

I love this little girl! From the wish to the over dramatic throw to finally the look of triumph when she looks up at her grandma!

El Potrero

We celebrated Paco's birthday today. Jesse, Robbie, Caroline, Joanna and Pat moved all the outside furniture to storage and then we drove together to Owosso to El Potrero for dinner. The six of us ate too much, but couldn't stop!

Now Pat and I are sitting in our living room groaning! And he is enjoying scratching off the lottery tickets.

A Curtain of Rain!

In the past I have seen rain ahead of us. Today, it was like a curtain in front of us. Now we are driving through the rain.

Endless Games

Caroline and Ayva and I went out for dinner.  She kept asking, "Want to play a game?"  I kept saying, "Of course!"

You say the sound, I guess the letter.
You name all the things you know starting with.....
I can spell.....

I love that Ayva loves learning and thinks of it all as fun and games!

I'm Staying in my PJ's!

I am going to work on this computer all day long - in my pajamas!  Pat is not going to be here so I can just work, work, work!

I have this hankering - I love that word - to try to organize my book blog!  I have to do some research to figure out what I want to do.  It takes several hours of uninterrupted work to find what does and what doesn't work.

So - if you need help today - call SOMEBODY ELSE! Just kidding, I would help you!

We are home!

I have to say this has been an exciting fall! We just got back from Harbor Springs. Our friend, Barb, rented a home for the week. Their friends from the office started coming up last night. Barb invited us to come up at the beginning of the week. The weather, the friends, the fall colors - oh everything aligned with the universe!

End of our vacation!

Well, we have had great fun with Barb and David! After those great Tahquamenon Fall pictures I had to post my dinner t the Brewery! Chipotle Pesto Pasta that was fabulous!

Pat a day I took a color tour yesterday. It was so beautiful. This was the perfect week to be up north. The weather was extremely fabulous. The house we are at is so comfy. But most of all, catching up with Barb was the best! It was so nice that David and Barb shared their time with us. What good friends we have.

Today we go home. I bet the trip will be beautiful!

Tahquamenon Falls

A beautiful fall day with Barb and her son, David. A trip through the tunnel of trees and then to the falls. I couldn't believe it was their first trip!
We went to the lower then unfortunately it was very slippery and my tennis shoes kept slipping. By the time we were back to the car my knee was thrombin from trying to keep from slipping! So they are going to the upper falls and I am having a glass of wine at the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery! By the way, I grabbed those last three pictures from David Sharma.

A Beautiful Fall Gift

What a beautiful week in Atlanta. I love camping in Michigan. It actually got to the low 80's a couple of the days.

We had only planned on being there until Thursday. However, Noreen Wizner's Mom died and the funeral was on Friday in Cheboygan. We stayed the whole week as the drive from Atlanta is only an hour and it is four and a half hours from Saginaw. So we went to Walmart and bought clothes instead of paying for gas!

Noreen asked me to read at the funeral. It was an honor and I was glad to do it for the Wizner family. Their Mom was so devoted to her faith. What a role model for all of us.

The colors up north were absolutely beautiful. Although, we never heard any elk bugling!

Mmmmm.....

There's an old saying, "Now you're cooking with gas!" meaning everything is going well!

Pat and I say, "Now you're cooking with wood!"

Bacon cooked over a campfire - Mmmm - just doesn't get much better than that - unless you add triple fruit Pancakes!

Blueberries, raspberries and blackberries!

Camping in Atlanta on our favorite site. No one near us. Looking at the lake and the turning leaves. 80 degrees yesterday - not bad for the beginning of October.

Heard owls hooting and coyotes yowling last night. Now if I hear elk bugling this camp trip we'll call it the best ever.
