One Step Closer!

Our purchase agreement was signed!  Today we turn in our paperwork for the mortgage.  Tuesday the inspection is scheduled.  We are so excited.

Our friend Karen is going to paint.  We are going to look at appliances this afternoon.

Things are moving along very quickly.

We even went over there the other evening to stand on the back porch!

When we first saw this condo a couple years ago we never thought we would be able to buy it.  Things just moved into place.  This has been an answer to prayers.  I am glad it was a yes this time!

Oh My

Yup... we went back and looked at the condo next to the one I didn't like.  It turned out to be the one we went to an estate sale at a few years ago and we loved it then.  We didn't want to do anything until our mortgage and home equity was paid on the duplex.  That happened this month.  Even though it is just across the hall from the other one the view is thousands times better.  It is right on the banks of the Tittabawassee.  It reminds me of Mom buying the house on Jefferson.  She and Jane had seen it across from the allergy doctor.  It was her dream home.  This one has been mine and Pat's. Say prayers.  Both of us are so hopeful.

Mmmm....

Looked at a townhouse yesterday.  Didn't care for it.  But it was a big step to start looking for something.  We still want to keep the duplex for a year or two.  We'll see if we get serious about anything.

New Review on Catholic Fiction

So happy that Webber House has a new review on the Catholic Fiction website.
Spoiler Alert!  She tells most of the story of the book.

Weird Fall

It seems as if the leaves are falling off the trees before maximum color. Only a few areas in yellow and a few red.

Marketing

I HATE marketing my books.  Yesterday on Facebook another author complained that it was easier to write than to market!  I had to reply.  I would much rather write than try to market my books.  However, I have to get over this and start working on it again.  Books do not just sell themselves!  I am going to make a real effort beginning in November.  I'm going to focus on giving my eBooks for Christmas and don't want to start before November.  So I have to get busy writing this month.

Say a few prayers that I hit the right markets.  And if any of you have any ideas about marketing let me know.

Shiawassee Auto Tour

It was a beautiful ride through on the last day of the season.  So glad we remembered to go.  All of these pictures were taken during the ride.  It was brilliantly sunny, then cloudy, then the sun would come back out again.  We rolled down the windows and put the heat on.  It was a beautiful fall morning.

Sandhill Cranes had just taken off with a flock of geese then they realized they were following geese and turned around to come back!

A few years ago Robbie yelled, "STOP" as we were driving through the Shiawassee.  He had seen an owl.  So we stopped where he had seen that owl and there were a couple hooting back and forth to each other.  We only saw the one, but they answered me when I hooted!

There were lots of egrets, but only one Great Blue Heron, I tried to get a picture but he was fast.

The eagle's nest that causes us to not be able to go through the Shiawassee until after the baby birds have flown away.
