Smoked Whitefish Dip

We bought smoked whitefish at the Saginaw Farmer's Market. I made a dip that turned out delicious. Pat ate the Triscuits as well as veggies with the dip. I just ate the veggies with the dip.

We had fun. Taking pictures in the bright sunlight we couldn't see what we were taking. 

The best thing... I never sat down. Not at the lower falls, not at the upper falls, not after going down the 94 steps and not after going up the 94 steps! Very happy for the many changes.

A wonderful day in Saint Ignace. A walk through the shops, a wave at St. Anthony's Rock, dinner at the Driftwood, a drive through the back roads, and our room even had an upgrade.

We we're supposed to have a "no view" room. There's a hot tub, the room is beautiful, and then this happened over the bay right out our door to the porch where we can see the bay and hear the water slapping the beach.

Went to an estate sale today and found exactly what I have been looking for to hang on the wall on the porch. I love it.

Winner, winner... This was delicious. Served to company and everyone liked it.

Happy Birthday, Caroline

Happy birthday celebration for Carolina Moon with an adult only dinner. Our favorite dessert from their childhood. Strawberries dipped in chocolate, sour cream and powdered sugar.

There is always a chance of choking if the powdered sugar is inhaled before taking a bite which is always cause for everyone else to go into fits of laughter.

I really like these plates. My Wheat plates I have we had growing up are so much smaller than present day plates.

A nice ride in the country

It was hot sitting on the porch so Pat suggested a ride. He drove a few roads we've never been on. It surprises me there are any left.

We saw 7 bunnies in different areas. A couple Sandhill Cranes, a fox, a hawk being chased away by a very small bird, horses and cows. I only took pictures of the Cranes.

Then we stopped for an ice cream cone. A no sugar added, low fat Moosetracks was delicious and refreshing. First ice cream in over a year. (I don't count Halo Top as ice cream even though I like it.)

It was a nice night.
